Saffy is one of our homebred babies from our 2nd litter produced. Resulting from the combination of our two foundation dogs, Remi and Pru and what a gal she has matured into, pictured at 22 months she is the female version of her sire "Remi". Just like her grand-mother "Crystal" and her Mother "Pru" this girl can really move! Saffy is everything we have ever wanted and strived for in this breeding, displaying heavy bone, brilliant colour, an amazing coat and the most stunning head we are extremely proud of our little girl.

Although Saffy never took to the ring, she has more than proven her worth as a brood bitch. From 3 litters she has produced consistent type, her puppies all share the same undeniable breed qualities, strong bone, beautiful heads, excellent angulation and powerful rears! She has a wonderful, playful and friendly temperament of which she definitely passes on to all of her beautiful babies.

Saffy has an excellent pedigree with predominately American / Canadian linage. Her grand-mother " Can. Ch. Matsou De Lauclair of Anshee " was imported to the UK from Canada by Anshee Akita's in 1998. 'Crystal' proved to be a big hit here in the UK and was named Top Brood Bitch 1999 in the USA. Crystal has produced some amazing puppies in her time and the most successful have to be from the Crystal to Tuffy (Can. Ch. Regalias Trans Fur to Anshee) mating's which produced 11 Champions, including the handsome UK Champion Anshee Fur Ever .

Saffy's Great Grand-mother " Ch. Anshee Keep The Faith " has to be one of our personal favorites. 'Izzy' was joint Top Akita in 1998 and has produced many Champions and Best In Show Winners. In our opinion she was a lady of true style and a top producer in her own right. She was the 1st UK champion produced by the successful Anshee Kennels of Sheena & Andrew Clark, and is behind many of their dogs whom can be seen in the ring today.

Saffy spent her later years in life terrorising the other Akita's and showing our next generation naughty habits, such as barking for their dinner.
Sadly we lost Saffy in May 2017 at the grand age of 12. She left a huge hole in our lives and we will remember her with fondness for the rest of our days. We are blessed to have with us today Saffy's Great Grandchildren.
